Secondary English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for 7-12 grades
Moses Lake Christian Academy (MLCA) is seeking a full-time English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for
grades 7-12 for the 2026-27 school year. This position will help students develop strong communication,
critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities through literature, writing, and language skills. The ideal
candidate will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging classroom that incorporates academic rigor
with a biblical worldview. This position reports to the Director.

Responsibilities include:
- Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the school’s curriculum
- and biblical worldview.
- Create a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment that supports student learning
- and character development.
- Integrate Christian principles into daily instruction, fostering spiritual growth alongside academic
- progress.
- Assess student progress through various formative and summative assessments and provide
- timely feedback.
- Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and classroom activities.
- Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support student success and development.
- Uphold and model Christian values, demonstrating Christ-like leadership and behavior in and out
- of the classroom.
- Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-related activities.
- Requirements:
- A clear testimony of faith, regular church attendance, and agreement with the school’s statement
- of faith.
- Bachelor’s degree in English, Education or a related field preferred.
- Teaching certification preferred but not required.
- Previous teaching experience preferred.
- Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
- Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.
- Passion for nurturing the spiritual, academic, and social growth of all students.
- Must pass a background check and meet all school and state requirements.
