  • Secondary History Teacher - Grades 7-12

    Moses Lake Christian Academy (MLCA) is seeking a full-time History Teacher for grades 7-12 for the 2025-26 school year.  This position may include teaching multiple subject areas, including Washington State History, World History, U.S. History and Government.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging classroom that incorporates academic rigor with a biblical worldview.   This position reports to the Director.

    Responsibilities include:

    • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate lessons that align with the school’s curriculum and biblical worldview.
    • Create a positive, engaging, and structured classroom environment that supports student learning and character development.
    • Integrate Christian principles into daily instruction, fostering spiritual growth alongside academic progress.
    • Assess student progress through various formative and summative assessments and provide timely feedback.
    • Maintain accurate records of student performance, attendance, and classroom activities.
    • Collaborate with parents, staff, and administration to support student success and development.
    • Uphold and model Christian values, demonstrating Christ-like leadership and behavior in and out of the classroom.
    • Participate in faculty meetings, professional development, and school-related activities.

    Requirements:

    • A clear testimony of faith, regular church attendance, and agreement with the school’s statement of faith.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field preferred.
    • Teaching certification preferred but not required.
    • Previous teaching experience preferred.
    • Strong classroom management and instructional skills.
    • Ability to create engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the diverse needs of learners.
    • Passion for nurturing the spiritual, academic, and social growth of all students.
    • Must pass a background check and meet all school and state requirements.

    • Music Teacher- Grades K-12

      Moses Lake Christian Academy (MLCA) is seeking a full-time Music Teacher for grades K-12 for the 2025-26 school year.  This position may include developing and delivering a variety of music lessons, such as singing, rhythm, movement, instruments, music theory, and appreciation for various musical styles and cultures.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging classroom that incorporates academic rigor with a biblical worldview.   This position reports to the Director.

  • Substitute Teachers

    Position Type: On call

    Salary Range: $125 per day

    We are looking for passionate substitute teachers to add to our call list to fill in when needed throughout the school year. Substitutes are willing to step in where needed and follow the teacher’s lesson plans. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Managing a classroom, communicating and teaching multiple subjects clearly and within the bounds of school procedures.

    • Giving and grading assignments, homework and tests

    • Monitoring each student’s progress and providing extra mentorship as needed.

    • Reporting to teacher and principal.

    • Establishing a developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive and safe learning environment

    REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

    • Proven work experience as a school teacher or similar role preferred but not required.

    • The ability to communicate in ways students will understand, as well as with parents and administrators

    • Confidence speaking in front of groups and enforcing classroom rules

    • The physical and mental stamina to keep up with high-energy  school students
