    Moses Lake Christian Academy is seeking a born-again Christian who is a dynamic and visionary leader for the position of School Director. As a private non-denominational Christian school serving students from pre-school through 12th grade, MLCA is dedicated to providing a high-quality education rooted in Christian values. We exist to partner with parents who seek to graduate young men and women who glorify Christ, shape culture, and shine the light of God’s truth in every endeavor of life.     RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Strategic Leadership

    • Assist with and execute the strategic vision to advance the school’s mission and goals.
    • Provide leadership in shaping the future direction of the institution.
    • Lead the development and implementation of a curriculum that aligns with the academy’s mission and values.
    • Provide strategic direction to faculty and staff to ensure academic excellence and spiritual growth.

    Reporting and Accountability

    • Report to the Board of Directors regularly on the school’s performance and key initiatives.
    • The Director will be subject to an annual performance review by the MLCA Board each spring.
    • Seek guidance and direction from the Board on policy matters affecting the institution.
    • Implement board policies and decisions effectively.
    • Ensure the Academy complies with state and national requirements, including but not limited to: submission of the Private School Fact Sheet, Enrollment Report, Administrative &Instructional Staff Report, and Private School Annual Approval Form, Federal and State tax liabilities.
    • Delegate responsibilities to subordinate staff positions as needed, ensuring effective teamwork and collaboration.

    Personnel Management

    • Recruit, develop, and retain high-caliber faculty and staff.
    • Provide leadership and support to ensure a positive and collaborative work environment.
    • Approve all classroom observation plans for performance feedback and ensure annual performance reviews are conducted for each faculty and staff member.
    • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging faculty and staff to pursue professional development opportunities.
    • Keep an up-to-date personnel file for each faculty and staff member.

    Admissions and Enrollment

    • Collaborate with the admissions team to attract and enroll students who align with the school’s values and mission.
    • Implement strategies to enhance student retention and satisfaction.

    Academic Excellence

    • Oversee the development and implementation of a rigorous curriculum that aligns with the highest educational standards of academic excellence and character development.
    • Oversee the development and implementation of effective assessment and evaluation systems to monitor student progress.
    • Analyze academic data to identify trends and areas for improvement, implementing strategies to address academic challenges.
    • Conduct regular reviews of instructional materials, assessment tools, and teaching methodologies to uphold quality in education.
    • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, other administrators, and parents to support student achievement and well-being.
    • Work with and provide information to the Board’s advisory committee.

    Spiritual Formation

    • Cultivate an environment where students grow spiritually, recognizing the Scriptures as the ultimate guide.
    • Ensure the integration of Christian principles and values across all aspects of the curriculum.

    Good Order and Discipline

    • Establish and enforce policies and procedures that ensure a safe and respectful learning environment.
    • Address disciplinary matters with fairness, consistency, and a focus on restorative practices.

    Fundraising and Development

    • Collaborate with the Fund  Development & Marketing  Committee to bolster fundraising activities.
    • Cultivate relationships with donors, alumni, and community partners to enhance financial resources.
    • Act as the “Face of the Institution” as an ambassador for MLCA to the public and school community.

    Financial Management

    • Manage the school’s finances effectively, working closely with the finance team and the Board of Directors to support the school’s mission.
    • Work with the Finance and Operations Committee to prepare and submit the annual budget to the Board for approval early in the second semester (Jan. 15th draft due, March 1st final draft due).
    • Keep the Academy within Budget and keep the Board appraised of any income or expenses that are not within the budget exceeding $2000 and obtain Board approval for any capital expense exceeding $5000.

    Community Engagement

    • Build and maintain positive relationships with students, parents, faculty, staff, and the broader community.
    • Act as a visible and approachable leader, fostering a sense of unity and collaboration.
    • Foster a positive school culture that values integrity, respect, and a love for learning.

    Extracurricular Programs

    • Provide leadership for the development and execution of extracurricular activities that complement the academic curriculum.
    • Support and promote a diverse range of programs, including sports, arts, music, language, and other enrichment activities.
    • Ensure that the co-curricular and extra-curricular programs appropriately fit in with the overall Academy program, and accomplish the objectives set forth by the Board.

    Facilities and Operations

    • Oversee the maintenance and improvement of school facilities to create a conducive learning environment.
    • Oversee proper use and regular maintenance of the buildings and vehicles. Ensure replacement or upgrade plans are maintained.
    • Ensure efficient and effective operational processes.
  • Athletic Director

    Position Type: Part Time

    Salary Range: $30,000-$35,000

    Moses Lake Christian Academy (MLCA) is seeking a part-time Athletic Director for the 2026-27 school year. This position will provide leadership and operational oversight of the school’s middle school and high school extra-curricular sports programs. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a program known for excellence, integrity, and sportsmanship. This position reports to the Director. 

    BENEFITS (based on a 1.0 FTE): 

    • Salary Range: $30,000 - $35,000 annually, depending on education and experience

    RESPONSIBILITIES & SKILLS

    • Oversee the daily operations of the athletic program including scheduling, event supervision, equipment and uniform management, and coordination of facilities.
    • Hire, supervise, and mentor coaching staff.
    • Ensure consistent adherence to policies and procedures.
    • Manage the Athletic Department budget with support from the Business Office.
    • Serve as a visible ambassador for athletics at games, assemblies, and other gatherings.
    • Participate in the planning and hosting of the annual Crab Feed and other department fundraising activities.
    • Maintain accurate records of student and coach paperwork, including sports physicals, grade checks, hiring forms and other documentation.
    • Collaborate with parents, students, coaches, and staff to support student success and development.
    • Uphold and model Christian values, demonstrating Christ-like leadership and behavior in and out of the school. 
    • Participate in league meetings, professional development, and school-related activities as needed. Requirements:
    • A clear testimony of faith, regular church attendance, and agreement with the school’s statement of faith.
    • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Sports Management, Physical Education or a related field preferred, but not required.
    • Previous coaching experience. 
    • Ability to work flexible hours.
    • Strong communication and organizational skills.

    Moses Lake Christian Academy (MLCA) is seeking a full-time English Language Arts (ELA) Teacher for

    grades 7-12 for the 2026-27 school year. This position will help students develop strong communication,

    critical thinking, and problem-solving abilities through literature, writing, and language skills. The ideal

    candidate will be responsible for creating a positive, engaging classroom that incorporates academic rigor

    with a biblical worldview. This position reports to the Director.

  • Substitute Teachers

    Position Type: On call

    Salary Range: $125 per day

    We are looking for passionate substitute teachers to add to our call list to fill in when needed throughout the school year. Substitutes are willing to step in where needed and follow the teacher’s lesson plans. 

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Managing a classroom, communicating and teaching multiple subjects clearly and within the bounds of school procedures.

    • Giving and grading assignments, homework and tests

    • Monitoring each student’s progress and providing extra mentorship as needed.

    • Reporting to teacher and principal.

    • Establishing a developmentally appropriate, positive, inclusive and safe learning environment

    REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS

    • Proven work experience as a school teacher or similar role preferred but not required.

    • The ability to communicate in ways students will understand, as well as with parents and administrators

    • Confidence speaking in front of groups and enforcing classroom rules

    • The physical and mental stamina to keep up with high-energy  school students
