Have you seen the lion?

Ambassadors who were 2011 Graduates of MLCA traveled to Burkina Faso, Africa on a goodwill mission. These ambassadors were presented with an extraordinary gift – a lion cub! MLCA graduates (Isaac Murrell, Mallory Tye and Melissa Verhage) accepted the remarkable gift on behalf of MLCA.

In a ceremony of regal pageantry and eloquent speeches, the Lion was dedicated to serve Moses Lake Christian Academy as the role of school mascot.

The cub arrived in Moses Lake on July 3, 2011 and has grown considerably in size! Students, both alumni and upper class-men, have been challenged to fill these big shoes (well, paws).

Our school mascot which we named Fur Blur, respectively, has been at work unifying MLCA and encouraging students to reach new academic & athletic heights!

Fur Blur made his MLCA debut at the MLCA Back to School Night on August 30, 2011 to a full chapel packed with students, parents and faculty. He continues to welcome students during Back to School Night every year.

Find him at an MLCA Event soon!
