MLCA Mascot - Fur Blur

There's a New Lion in Town!

Ambassadors who were 2011 graduates of Moses Lake Christian Academy traveled to Burkina Faso, Africa on a goodwill mission. The MLCA ambassadors were presented with an extraordinary gift – a lion cub! MLCA graduates (Isaac Murrell, Mallory Tye and Melissa Verhage) accepted the remarkable gift on behalf of the academy. In a ceremony of regal pageantry and eloquent speeches, the lion was dedicated to serve The Moses Lake Christian Academy in the role of school mascot.

The cub arrived in Moses Lake on July 3, 2011 and has grown considerably in size and is ready for his new role at The Academy. Soon the mascot will be at work further unifying Moses Lake Christian Academy and encouraging students to new athletic and academic heights!

Plans are in the works to name the mascot with an Academy worthy name. Stay tuned for details about how to recommend names for the new mascot.

The new mascot (AKA Fur Blur) made his MLCA debut at the MLCA Back to School Night, August 30, 2011 to a full chapel packed with applauding students, parents and faculty.
